Are you ready for your future?

When you became a Cadet you took a big step in preparing for your future. You joined an organisation that teaches leadership, teamwork, communication and problem solving techniques - all in a fun and adventure filled environment.

But is that enough?

For some Cadets the desire to achieve and to prepare for a successful future is even greater.

For those Cadets there is CVQO.

CVQO offers all Cadets over 16 the opportunity to earn, at no cost, a choice of internationally recognised vocational qualifications that are respected by employers as well as institutes of higher education.

Whether your objective is higher education or improved opportunities in the workforce, CVQO offers members of the Combined Cadet Force, Sea Cadet Corps, Army Cadet Force and Air Training Corps the additional edge needed to reach those goals.

Qualifications currently on offer:

BTEC First Diploma in Public Services


This internationally respected qualification is equivalent to 4 GCSEs at A*- C level (Standard grades at levels 1-3 in Scotland).

The course mixes theory and practical elements with an emphasis on leadership, teamwork, communications, problem solving and fitness.

The syllabus has been designed to improve valuable life skills including CV preparation, interviewing techniques, communication, first aid, adventure training, health and nutrition.

And best of all, it's FREE for Cadets!

Cadets must be 16 to enrol in the BTEC Programme. To enrol, contact your Cadet headquarters. Please note: In addition to existing Cadet activities, Cadets are required to complete the course syllabus which includes supervised adventure training activities and occasional weekend training. All coursework is assessed by Edexcel.
